Norma Jean Maroon, age 78 of Greenville, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the Donnell–Wiegand Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Smith Grove Cemetery.

Norma Jean, the daughter of Herman Wiebler and Norma (Sommers) Wiebler, was born November 5, 1946, in Breese, Illinois. Jeanne was born and raised in Clinton County, attended the local schools and graduated from Mater Dei High School in Breese, Illinois. She attended nursing classes at Kaskaskia College and worked for DeMoulin Brothers in Greenville for many years as a seamstress.

Norma Jean and Larry C. Maroon were united in marriage on August 26, 1967. They were the parents of Barbara Jean Maroon, D.V.M, who preceded them in death on November 4, 2018. She leaves behind her brother John (Sheila) Wiebler of Aviston, IL, William (Karen) Wiebler of Ashley, IL., Robert Wiebler of Boulder, IL., Judy (David) Sturgeon of Richfield, IL., and Jerry (Marilyn) Wiebler of Carlyle, IL, cousin Larry Wiebler of Carlyle, IL., friend Mark Clark, and her friend Barb Nolan.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, and sister Cheryl Wiebler.
Jeanne had a gift of loving and helping others. She worked at Emerald Point as a cook and for Dr. Andy Goggin in the office cleaning. She enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, and especially going to dinner with family or friends.
