Norma L. Dale, 85, passed away at 12:55 am Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Bethalto Care Center in Bethalto, IL.
She was born on November 23, 1925 in Alton, the daughter of Henry L. & Agnes C. (Niederkorn) Chappell.
She married J. Russell Dale at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton and he preceded her in death.
Norma was a graduate of Alton High School. She with her husband owned and operated the Prescription Shoppe on Brown St. in Alton. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton.
She is survived by a step daughter, Phyllis Carroll in Elmhurst, IL; one brother, Edward Chappell of Hurst TX; one nephew Robert H. Chappell of Champaign, IL; and one niece, Cynthia Nan Chappell of TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and one brother, Robert Chappell.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Upper Alton Cemetery in Alton.
