Naomi “Anderson” Lolley-Durkee, 93 passed away at 5:08 pm on Monday, September 3, 2012 asleep in her own home in her own bed as she had asked.
She was born on June 17, 1919 in Anguilla, MS, the daughter of Thomas Clinton and Inez (Ratliff) Anderson, one of six children all of who have preceded her in death.
Naomi was married to Titus Lolley, who died in 1977 and later to Danny Durkee who died in 2000.
She was an executive secretary at Olin Corporation at the Broadway office. She was an active and proud member of the Eastern Star. In her youth she loved boating and water skiing, plus she traveled extensively all over the world.
She was a wonderful mother to sons Titus Clinton Lolley and Larry William and her daughter Cindy Lolley all of Alton; she loved her grandchildren, Jeff, Mikel, Theba, Chris, Jenny and Tim as well as their spouses; four great grandchildren, April, Cassidy, Brayden and Kaylee; two great great grandchildren. Naomi also had many lifelong friends who she loved very much.
There will be no visitation. Cremation rites were accorded.
Memorials may be made to the Alton 5A’s Animal Shelter.
