Nancy Rust Stromske, 89, died at 4:17 a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2025 at home with family by her side.
Born June 20, 1936 in Alton, she was the daughter of Carl and Jessie Rust (Morris).She was a homemaker and enjoyed both golf and her bridge club.
On May 21, 1955 she married James “Jim” Stromske in Alton.He preceded her in death on November 11, 2019.
Surviving are two daughters: Mary Lynn Holliday (David) Edmond OK. And Jamie Wreath (George) Alton, four grandchildren, Christy Sanderson, Joseph Holliday, George “Sam” Wreath (Kari), James Wreath and two great grandchildren; Mason Sanderson and Gertie Wreath.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Sally Salfi, and a great granddaughter, Rian Sanderson.
Graveside services will be private at St Patrick Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St Vincent DePaul, Shriners Hospitals for Children or a charity of your choice.
