Nancy A. Weaver, 76, died at 4:45 a.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Born December 17, 1944 in Wood River, she was the daughter of Louis and Anna (Wooden) Milazzo. She retired as a special education teacher in 2004. Mrs. Weaver was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey where she was active with the St. Ambrose Women's Group, Saturday Women's Bible study group, Old Friends and New, and the ladies luncheon group. On June 24, 1972 she married Walter Weaver at St. Kevin's Catholic Church in Rosewood Heights. He survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Whitney Deken (Stewart) of St. Louis, MO, and Courtney Gillson (Nathan) of Rosewood Heights, one son, Andrew Weaver (Jessica) of Maple Grove, MN, four grandchildren, Annalise Deken, Dominik Gillson, Kaitlyn Gillson and Greyson Weaver. She is also survived by a brother, Elbie Milazzo of Godfrey, sisters-in-law, Sharon Milazzo of Bethalto, and Anne Weaver of Hartford, CT and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Milazzo and a brother-in-law, David A. Weaver Jr. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, December 28, 2020 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. A private family Mass will be held at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey. Father Steve Janoski will officiate. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Godfrey. CDC guidelines will be observed. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
