Milton “Pee Wee” Simpson Jr., 66, of Godfrey, died peacefully at home on May 24, 2012 at 12:20 p.m. Milton was born March 18, 1946, in St. Louis, MO, the son of Milton Sr. and Mildred (Roth) Simpson. He married Jeanette “Jeanie” Russell on June 19, 1965. He graduated from Civic Memorial High School. After graduation, he went to work for Coca-Cola and retired after 31 years of service. Milton and Jeanie also owned and operated Affordable Limousine Service for 11 years. He then went on to work in security on the Alton Belle. Milton was an avid car collector and lifelong Cardinal fan. What he enjoyed most was spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, three daughters, Kathy Gress (Byron) of Bunker Hill, Tammy Schwegel (Pete) of Jerseyville, and Christy Julian (Dan) of Alton, grandchildren, Brittany Darr (Craig), Hayley Gress, Logan and Lauren Schwegel, Coty Weil, Danielle and Drake Julian, one great granddaughter, Addilyn Darr, one brother, Gary Simpson (Beth) of Virginia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Brett Gress. A memorial visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.
