Mildred V. "Millie" Ingersoll, 89, died at 12:19 a.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Christian Hospital Northeast in St. Louis County, Mo.She was born on Feb. 27, 1922 in Calhoun County, one of seven children born to the late Chester C. & Eva A. (Roach) Hunter.Millie was a longtime and loyal member of the First United Methodist Church in Jerseyville, and was a charter member of the Westlake County Club where she was an avid golfer.She retired after 29 years of service as a secretary with the Jersey Community Unit School District #100.Millie married Kenneth Ingersoll on June 17, 1941 in Troy, Mo., and he died Dec. 19, 1989.Surviving are a son & daughter in law, Gary & Janice Ingersoll of Wildwood, Mo.; two grandchildren, Bryan Ingersoll, and his fiance', Alana Doran of Ballwin, Mo., and Nicole, and her husband, Aaron Wildt of Wildwood; three great grandchildren, Bryce, Jacqueline, and Jenna; two brothers, Truman Hunter of Jerseyville, and Charles Hunter of Brighton; two sisters, Nola Kramer and Mary Ruth Thomas both of Jerseyville.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters, Eilene Nimerick and Violet Hunter.Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church in Jerseyville.Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church in Jerseyville.
