Mildred Ann Simpson, 86, died at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Jerseyville Manor Nursing Home in Jerseyville.
She was born March 29, 1924 in St. Louis, MO the daughter of the late Leo Roth and Rose (Broyles) Shephard.
On August 14, 1942 in St. Louis she married Milton F. Simpson Sr. and he preceded her in death on November 7, 1988. She is survived by two sons: Milton F. Simpson Jr. and his wife Jeanette of Godfrey and Gary L. Simpson and his wife Beth of Fredericksburg, VA. Five Grandchildren: Kathy Gress (Byron), Tammy Schwegel (Petey), Christy Julian (Dan), Mike Simpson and Michelle Simpson. Seven Great Grandchildren: Brittany Darr (Craig), Hayley Gress, Coty Weil, Danielle Julian, Drake Julian, Logan Schwegel and Lauren Schwegel. One brother: Larry Sheppard of Missouri. Two sisters: Lorraine Quattrucci of Ballwin, MO and Dorothy Meister of Nevada. She was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth DeForest.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto with Pastor Tom Olney to officiate. Additional information and online guestbook may be found at www.gentfuneralhome.com
