Michael Paul Smith, Sr, 49, of Granite City passed away in his home Friday, October 13, 2023.
He was born to Paul Smith and the late Vicki (Doughtery) Smith on July 7, 1974 in St. Louis, MO. Michael loved to fish, camp and go to the horse track. He was a great father, son, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his father: Paul Smtih (Sandra Blanner) of St. Louis, MO; a son: Michael Paul Smith, Jr of Granite City, IL; his long term girlfriend; Jennie Orender of Granite City, IL; 2 brothers; Craig Smtih (Sarah Stroup) of St. Louis, MO, Jeffrey (Kathy) Smith of St. Louis, MO; a sister: JJ Baucom of St. Louis, MO and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother: Vicki Smith; and his grandparents: Jane Elliott, Paul and Norma Smith.
