Michael James Campbell, age 44 of Edwardsville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at his residence.
Michael was born July 12, 1978 in Dallas, TX to James and Laura (nee Hughes) Campbell. He attained his bachelor’s and MBA from DePaul University in Chicago, IL graduating Honors with High Distinction. During his undergraduate studies, he earned the Student Excellence Award. While living in Chicago, he met his wife, Elizabeth Combs, and they married on October 20, 2012 in Collinsville, IL. He was employed as a sales manager for Ohio Transmission Corporation.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Anne Campbell; and maternal grandparents, Ralph and Jane Hughes.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Campbell; three beautiful daughters, Nora Kay, Victoria Ann, and Claire Elizabeth; his parents, James and Laura Campbell; a brother, Kevin Campbell; four sisters, Adrienne Demory, Melanie Coats, Valerie Campbell and Bridgette Campbell.
Visitation will be 3 – 6 p.m. on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL and 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 27, 2023 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 207 Vandalia, Collinsville, IL.
Funeral mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Father John Beveridge celebrant. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Collinsville, IL.
Memorials are suggested to the Campbell Children’s Education Fund. Checks should be made payable to Elizabeth Campbell and will be received at the visitation or can be mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2080 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
