He was born on August 13, 1942 in Alton, the son of Jose & Urvana (Macias) Morales.
He married Victoria Kratzer on August 26, 1967 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Alton.
He was a US Army Veteran; a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton, worked for Goodwin Brothers Printing Company as a paste-up artist for 35 years and retired from Alton Mental Health as a security therapy aid. He also owned and operated Morales Taco's and volunteered as a coach for soccer and baseball with Alton Park & Recreation and St. Matthew's Catholic School.
In addition to his wife he is also survived by three sons, Ramon Morales and his wife Ketra of Alton, Todd Morales and his wife Michelle of Jacksonville, FL, and Matthew Morales and his fiancée Jennifer of Alton; four grandchildren, Jordon Myers, Michaela Morales, Julian Mukerji and Jada Morales; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Jose & Linda Morales and Mario Morales, all of Alton; one sister, Rose Brewer of Cuba, MO and many nieces and nephew whom he loved and adored.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Ramon Morales and two sisters, Delores Voyles and Angela Hagen.
In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Friday September 11, 2009 at Staten?Fine Funeral Home in Alton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Alton with full military rites.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church building fund.
