Michael Lee Elmore, 66, of Pontoon Beach, IL, passed away at 6:08 p.m. Sat. November 10, 2024 at home while under hospice care with his family at his side.
He was born July 14, 1958 in East St. Louis, IL to the late Larry and Peggy (Kuykendal) Elmore.
On Sept. 24, 1997, he and Denise Susan Sanford were married in Edwardsville, IL. She survives.
Michael was a U.S. Army veteran. Following his service he worked in security for the Army Depot and Unified Aircraft Services. He loved movies and collecting pop culture memorabilia.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a step-daughter: Nicole (William) Wallace; two grandchildren: Andrew and Holdin; two sisters; Nancy and Bonnie; two brothers: Tom and Leonard; dear friend since childhood: Bill Conklin; and neighbors and friends: Janet Creamer and Barb Nevels.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters.
The family will hold a celebration of Michael’s life at a later date.
