Michael Andrew Manchak, 56, died at 3:50 p.m., Sunday, December 11, 2011 at St. Louis University Hospital from complications of a recent surgery.He was born in West Virginia on March 7, 1954, and was the only child born to the late Andrew & Frances Manchak.He attended East Alton Wood River Community High School, and was employed for 25 years with Clark Oil Refinery in Hartford, and most recently has been employed as a crane operator with Agra Construction based in Wisconsin.He is survived by wife the former Louisa Denham, and together they have shared the past twenty years together.He is also survived by a daughter & son in law, Amber (Denham) & George Boyd of Godfrey, and Andrew Manchak of Godfrey; a granddaughter, Patsy Ann Boyd; and his father in law, Charles E. Denham of Jerseyville.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother in law, Patsy Denham.Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday. Father William Hembrow will officate.Burial will take place in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.Memorials may be given to an educational fund for his son, Andrew, in care of the funeral home.
