Michael A. Mason, age 48 of Collinsville, IL, born February 27, 1973, in Belleville, IL, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022.
Michael was a Collinsville High School graduate. He was a talented golfer that earned him a golf scholarship at SIU-Carbondale. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing hockey and was a huge fan of the St. Louis Blues, St. Louis Cardinals, and LSU.
He is survived by his parents, Harold "Bud" Mason of Fairview Heights, IL and Beverly (nee Wagoner) Mason of Troy, IL; step-father, Kent "Tubby" Taylor of Troy, IL; brother, Mark (Tina White) Mason of Collinsville, IL; sister, Nancy (Brett) Reynolds of Hermosa Beach, CA; nephew, Henry Reynolds; faithful canine companion, Stoli; and many friends.
Memorial visitation will be 2 - 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, Maryville, IL.
There will be a gathering for friends on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Who Dats in Collinsville, IL from 12 noon until 5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Donations will be received at the visitation or can be mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL. Checks should be made payable to the charity.
