Melissa Ainsworth

Melissa L. Ainsworth, age 62 of Sorento, IL, died Saturday, March 19, 2022, at her residence in Sorento, IL. 

She was born on Friday, June 19, 1959, in East Saint Louis, IL, the daughter of Albert and Savannah (nee Cavender) Ainsworth. 

Melissa was born in East St. Louis, IL; grew up in Collinsville, IL, and graduated from the Collinsville schools. She lived in Sawyerville, Highland, and for the last 16 years since 2004 Sorento, IL. She enjoyed listening to music and collecting Ty Beanie Babies, coins, decks of cards, and trolls.

Madden, Santa Cruz, CA; Sister - Dawn E. Ainsworth, Alhambra, IL; Sister - Rebecca L. (Larry) Leucking, Nashville, IL; Sister - Cynthia M. (Kenneth) Young, Collinsville, IL; Sister - Melody R. Forester, Sorento, IL; Sister - Kimberly T. (Robert) Kiltie, O Fallon, IL; Brother - H. Shawn Ainsworth, Belleville, IL; Sister - Martha J. Paul, Sorento, IL; Cousins - Many. 

She was preceded in death by: Father - Albert Francis Ainsworth; Mother - Savannah Pearl Ainsworth; Sister - Gerry E. Middleton; Brother-In-Law - Patrick J. "Maynard" Miller - Died 6/25/2021. 

Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL. 

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, and from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Friday, March 25, 2022, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL. 

Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 25, 2022, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL. 

Interment will be at Marine Cemetery in Marine, IL, at a later date. 

Memorial contributions may be made to American Parkinson Disease Association or Metro East Humane Society.
