Maurice Toner

Maurice L. Toner, 89, passed away Monday, August 26, 2024 at his home.
Born Feb. 21, 1935 in Roxana, he was a son of Charles L. Toner, Sr. and Lula Belle (Red) Toner. They both preceded him in death.
Maurice worked as a medical technologist for Alton Memorial, St. Joseph, and St. Anthony’s Hospitals. He also had worked as a private corporate postal clerk. He was also involved in a foster grandparents program at Eastwood Elementary School.
Surviving are his children, Amy (Kirk) Sullivan of Hawaii and Eric (Liz) Toner of California; two grandchildren, Cassidy and Leah; a brother, James Toner of Wood River; a sister, Judy Cohn of Town & Country, MO; a sister-in-law, Rosalie Toner of Rosewood Heights; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles “Chuck” Toner, Jr.
