Matthew Thomas Terpening
Matthew Thomas Terpening, 53, passed away at 11:22 am Saturday July 9, 2011 at Alton Memorial Hospital
He was born on June 13, 1958 in Alton, IL the son of Robert & Mary (Tucker) Terpening.
He worked at Industrial Motor Repair 28 years rebuilding electric motors and was a member of the IBEW Local 649.
He is survived by a son Matthew J. Terpening of Alton, a grandson, Hayden Crawford of Alton, three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Robert & Rebecca Terpening of Alton, Steven Terpening of Godfrey, and David & Lisa Oliver of Granite City; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Donna Hallows of Godfrey, Mary Anne & Lawrence Scheutz of Brighton, Barb Flowers of Alton and Terri & Steve Winchester of Alton; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Crystal Terpening, and a brother, Roger Terpening.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
