Mary Boucher

Mary "Sis" M. Boucher, 75, died at noon Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, at Alton Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 3, 1935, in Dow, the daughter of Lawrence F. and Mary T. (Trager) Finkes Sr.

On April 30, 1958, she married Joseph C. Boucher at St. Michael Catholic Church in Beltrees. He died April 27, 2003.

She attended Holy Ghost Catholic Church and was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Steve Boucher of Eden, N.C., and Greg and Shannon Boucher of Grafton; four grandchildren, Nick, Kayla, Zach and Madison; and a brother, William "Bill" and Julia Finkes Sr. of Dow.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Lawrence "Sonny" Finkes Jr. and John Finkes.

Visitation will 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, with Rosary at 3:45 p.m. at Alexander and Gubser Funeral Home in Jerseyville. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Jerseyville, with Father William H. Hembrow officiating.

Burial will be at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Beltrees.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Jerseyville.

Alexander and Gubser Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Street Presbyterian Church in Alton, where she was a church liturgist and chairman of many church functions. She was also active and served in many positions in the Alton and Madison County Republican Party.
