Mary Saville

Mary L. Saville, 83, died at 12:05 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Robings Manor in Brighton.  Born November 9, 1927 in Alton, she was the daughter of Joseph A. and Viola C. (French) Leady.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton.  She had worked at the St. Joseph Hospital Pharmacy and for her father at Upmost Market.  In addition, she had worked in the cafeteria for East Middle School for 12 years.  On July 26, 1948 in Alton, she married Eugene J. Saville.  He preceded her in death on April 3, 2010.  Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Michael Molloy of Braidwood, IL, and Christine and John Ashley of Rosewood Heights, IL, two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Jeanette Saville of Godfrey, and Ronald and Barbara Saville of Fort Benton, Montana, nine grandchildren, Matthew (Tina) Saville, Beverly (Drew) Bozung, Connie (Allan) Shores, Justin (Dana) Molloy, Jeffrey (Becky) Saville, Michelle (Dave) Roberts, Andrew Molloy, Amy Ashley, and Toni Ashley, eight great grandchildren, Corbin and Hailey Shores, Aaliya and Kaily Bozung, Katelynn and  Jackson Saville, Tyler and  Harper Roberts.  Also surviving is one brother, Vincent N. Leady.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph E. Leady, and a sister, Rita Goacher.  Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 2011 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 22, 2011.  Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.  Father Tom Cannon, OMV will officiate.  Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
