Mary Kay Bobrowski, age 83, of Edwardsville, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois.
She was born August 28, 1937, in Edwardsville, the daughter of the late Edward & Vera (Henry) Long. Mary married Anthony Bobrowski, Jr. on November 29, 1958, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Edwardsville. Anthony preceded her in death on March 18, 1995.
She is survived by three sons, Anthony J. Bobrowski & wife Susan, Michael E. Bobrowski, Stephen T. Bobrowski, all of Edwardsville; one daughter Mary Lynn Kostyshock & husband Scot of Marine, Illinois; four grandchildren, Stephen Bobrowski, Jr. & wife Christina, Michael Bobrowski, Jr., Kelsey Gooden & husband John, Katelyn Bobrowski; two great grandchildren, Aubree & Everlee Gooden; and one sister, Jane Leitner.
Mary was preceded in death by one brother, Bob Long & one sister Nancy Owen.
Mary was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Edwardsville. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal & Blues fan. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and going to the library. The Bobrowski family would like to thank Eden Retirement Center and staff for their care and compassion for Mary Kay.
A private family FUNERAL MASS will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church with Reverend Robert J. Jallas officiating. Interment will be at Valley View Cemetery in Edwardsville. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family request memorials to St. Mary’s Church or the Edwardsville Public Library. Weber & Rodney Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
