Mary Frances Blain, age 66, of Edwardsville, Illinois died at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at Evelyn’s House Hospice in Creve Coeur, Missouri. Mary worked at Head Start, was a school bus driver, and worked at the child care center at Southern Illinois University. She also operated a photo booth called Memories By Mary. She was born March 3, 1951, in Granite City, Illinois the daughter of the late John & Erma (Jacobs) Wendzinsky. Mary & her first husband, Ricky Kuhn had one daughter, Kelly Kuhn-Matlock who survives in Edwardsville. Mary and her second husband of 33 years, Robert R. Blain, of Edwardsville had two sons who also preceded her in death, Benjamin Bellamy Blain & Brian Buckminster Blain. Mary is also survived by a grandson, Daniel Ray Matlock of Edwardsville. Mary was an active member of the Friends of Leclaire and Tapestry of Community Offerings (TOCO). Mary’s favorite expression was “It’s laughter I’m after” and “B’ kind”. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, September 2, 2017, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home. A Celebration of her life will be held at the Leclaire Park from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday, September 3, 2017. Memorials may be given to Friends of Leclaire or TOCO.
