Mary E. Wolfe, 74 passed away at 8:05 pm, Sunday June 12, 2011, at Alton Memorial Hospital, with her family by her side.
She was born on October 15, 1936 in Alton, to the late Leslie M. and Mary Francis (Beck) Gibson.
Mary married Billy E. Wolfe on May 21, 1958 in Alton, he preceded her in death, on October 13, 1992.
She was a homemaker, and her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She is survived by one son: Marc Wolfe and his spouse Ellen of Wood River, nine grandchildren: Kelly Kirkpatrick, Charity Ratty, Shawn Hart, Shane Hart, Precious Hart, Chances Hart, Ben Hart, Tim Wolfe and Nathan Wolfe, eight great-grandchildren, and one great great grandson, one sister and her spouse; Mae and Birdie Mottaz of Godfrey, one brother and his spouse: Leslie and Betty Gibson of Alton, and her cat: Putz.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, her husband, and one sister, Lillian Heyen.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm, Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home, in Alton, where funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 pm, June 16, 2011, with the Rev. Art Hooper officiating.
Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey, IL.
