Martha Sue Dobbs, 66, passed away at 12:25 p.m., Sunday, July 14, 2024 at White Hall Nursing and Rehab.
She was born in Jerseyville on July 21, 1957 and was the daughter of the late Jack and Mildred (Green) Peoples.
She married William Junior Dobbs on October 20, 1974 in Jerseyville and together they were the proud parents of three children, sharing in many wonderful memories together throughout their 49 years of marriage.
For many years, she was employed as a Cashier at the Carlinville Wal-Mart, but it was time spent with her family that she truly treasured the most.
She enjoyed reading, listening to her husband play music and playing board games with her grandchildren.
Surviving are a son and daughter in-law, Rance and Lori Dobbs of Greenfield; a daughter and son in-law, Jaimi Dobbs and Timothy Swarringim of Fayette; a daughter in-law, Joyce Dobbs of Medora; five grandchildren, Wendy, Aleigha, Lane, Logan and Maddison; a great grandson, Eli Goheen; four sister, Nancy Lucero of Texas, Marilyn Ward of Georgia, Barb Lyles of Jerseyville and Lois Baalman of Jerseyville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, William “Bill” Dobbs; a grandson, Brandon; as well as a brother, Jesse Peoples.
Per her wishes, cremation rights have been accorded.
