Marjorie A. LeBlanc, 81, was accepted into God’s hands at 9:45 a.m. Friday October 22, 2010 at her residence in Alton.
She was born on February 7, 1929, the daughter of John and Frances (Boyd) Whitener. A 1984 graduate of SIUE, Marjorie came from humble beginnings in the great depression, born in Marquand, MO.
She worked as a recreation therapist and owned and operated M&M’s Fine Things on Broadway in Alton for the last 25 years. She had many loyal customers that became great friends. She loved antiquing, traveling and her dog named Yorkie.
She was the beloved mother of four children Linda Steele of Tampa, FL, Mike S. LeBlanc of St. Louis, MO, Steve LeBlanc of Jerseyville, IL, Maira A Day of Alton, IL, eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Her brother, John P. Whitener of O’Fallon, MO also survives.
In addition to her parents, two sisters Winifred Huggins and Marlene Roth also preceded her in death.
In accordance to her wishes there will be no service and cremation rite will be accorded.
Memorials may be made to a Charity of one’s choice.
