Margaret Webb

Margaret E. Webb, 84, passed away at 8:35 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at her residence with her loving family by her side.  She was born on October 14, 1926, in Wood River the daughter of the late Harry and Doris (Berry) Camfield.  She married Delbert Webb in Alton in 1972 and he preceded her in death in 1993.  Survivors include one daughter and son in law: Linda and George Rich of East Alton, two sons and daughters in law: Larry and Pam Hicks of Carterville, Illinois, and Jeff and Lauri Hicks of Wood River, seven grandchildren: Bryan Hicks, Carrie Lieberman, Kelli Hicks, Aaron Rich, Amy Rich, Jenna Friel, and Jamie Hicks, five great grandchildren and an expectant great grandson.
She was formerly employed as the secretary to the Bursar at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville.  She was a volunteer for the Wood River Heritage Council.  She loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one son: Mikey.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 4pm to 7pm on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River.  Funeral services will be held at 10am on Friday, May 20, 2011 at the funeral home.  Pastor Martin Schultz will officiate.  Burial will follow at Upper Alton Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Wood River Heritage Council or to the charity of the donor's choice.
