Margaret Blacklock, 89, passed away at 7:50 a.m. Sunday, April 8, 2012 at Relais Bonne Eau Hospice Home in Edwardsville.
Born Feb. 7, 1923 in Thayer, Ill., she was a daughter of Burgess and Alice (Foster) Watkins.
She married Harold L. Blacklock March 14, 1953 in Alton. He passed away Nov. 25, 1996.
Margaret worked as a loan officer for Olin Community Credit Union for 47 years.
Survivors include four siblings, Sarah Innis of Annapolis, Md., Bert Watkins of Sarasota, Fla., Elsie Smith of Bethalto, and Jack Watkins of Fort Meyers, Fla.; a niece, Debra Zimmerman of Wood River; a nephew, Dennis Denby of Edwardsville; and several other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lydia Rink.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Apr. 10 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights from 10 a.m. until services begin at 11 a.m. Reverend Dan Smith will officiate.
She will be laid to rest at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
