Margaret Ann Baty, age 80, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2011, at 3:06 am at Blu-Fountain Manor Nursing Home in Godfrey, Il.
She was born on December 3, 1930, in Alton, IL, to the late George and Eleanor (Stolze) Baty.
Margaret was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, in Alton, IL. She was employed at the Grand Theater in Alton for over 27 years as a secretary, after which she was employed at the Wedge Bank till her retirement 10 years latter.
She is survived by her sister Eleanor Netzhammer of Alton, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brother’s; Clarence “Bud” Baty, and Alvin “Jack” Baty, three sisters; Evelyn Pohlman, Mary Austin, and Ruth Wetstein, and an infant brother; Robert Baty.
Visitation will be from 9:30 am to 11 am, Wednesday April 13, 2011 with a Mass of Christian burial following at 11 am, Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton with Father Nnamdi Moneme OMV officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, in Alton, IL.
