Madeline G. “Penny” Blume, age 96, of Edwardsville, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois.
She was born August 8, 1925, in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of the late Frank & Gladys (Cozzolino) Feser.
Penny married George E. Blume on June 30, 1945, in Long Island, New York. He preceded her in death on March 25, 2000.
She is survived by one son Craig A. Blume of Cape Coral, Florida; three grandchildren; Chad Maloney, Erin Blume, Lindsay Ehelebe; and seven great grandchildren.
Penny was preceded in death by her daughter Cindy Maloney.
She was a long-time member of Eden Church in Edwardsville.
There will be no visitation and a private graveside service will be held at Valley View Cemetery in Edwardsville, with Rev. John Roberts officiating. Weber & Rodney Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
