Lucille E. Turner, 85, died peacefully at 7:50 am, Thursday July 1, 2010, at Alton Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.

She was born in Rombauer, MO on February 27, 1925 the daughter of August and Darlie (Hood) Henry.

Lucille (Henry) married Floyd Turner in Alton, where they had a full and wonderful life together. He preceded her in death.

She dearly loved all of her family, and truly enjoyed every minute spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a wonderful Wife, Mother and Grandma, and will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Wood River VFW Post.

She is survived by three daughters; Sonya Tucker of Alton, Patricia Myers of Wood River, and Michelle Sutton of Brighton, six grandchildren; Jeff Nelson, Brad and his spouse Diane Nelson, Kim Coy, Andrea and her spouse Kevin Allison, Nicole Sutton, and Jared Sutton, seven great grandchildren; Andrew, and Jillian Nelson, Kody, Michael and Kayla Coy, Leah Link and Tyler Allison, two sisters; Pansy Schuetz of Alton, Lena and her spouse Jim Baze of Alton, and one brother; Buford and his spouse Marie Henry of Alton, two sister-in-laws; Iola Hausman of E. Alton, and Elaine Turner of Alton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter Rebecca Lynn, son-in-law; Wayne Tucker, and six sisters; Arlene Smoot, Grace Dalton, Lillie Buchanan, Virginia Rawlings, Norma Osborn, and Ruth Keber.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm, Tuesday July 6, 2010 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton, IL funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 10 am, with the Rev. Douglas Haynes officiating.

Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto, IL.
