Lovelle Rae Gibson, 89, passed away at 4:10 pm, Thursday September 29, 2011 at Rosewood Care Center of Alton.
She was born in Flora, IL on January 13, 1932 the daughter of the late Ray A. and Helen (Bowen) Gibson.
She was a graduate of Alton High School, worked as a sales clerk at Gibson’s Furniture Store for many years, and also enjoyed scrapbooking. She was also involved in the preservation of endangered species, especially the “Big Cats” and wolves.
Lovelle is survived by several cousins and three aunts.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 10 am until time of Service at 11 am Monday October 3 rd at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton, IL.
Burial will follow at Upper Alton Cemetery.
