Louise Adaline Paneschi, 87, went to be with the Lord at 5:11 am on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at her home under the care of BJC Hospice.
She was born on June 3, 1925 in Godfrey, IL, the daughter of George and Nora (Ewing) Lafikes.
She married Gaetano Paneschi on June 16, 1945 at Main Street Methodist Church in Alton. They just celebrated 65 years of marriage. He passed away on July 1, 2010.
Louise was a homemaker most of her life and was the bookkeeper for the family owned heating and cooling company located on 9th Street in Rosewood Heights. She was the member of the Women’s Club.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Michele & Gary Heflin of Edwardsville; nine grandchildren, Matthew & Christine Crause of Glen Carbon, Elizabeth Denis and Michele Foster both of Moro, Kilee Crause of Glen Carbon, Tracey Panyik, Nicole McCannon, Cary Heflin and Lance Heflin; one sister, Billie June Humm of Ottawa and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Stanley Lafikes and Louis Lafikes and a sister, Mary Worrell.
Visitation will be from 11am until service time at 12 noon on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto with Pastor Charles West officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be given to Alton VFW Post 1308.
