Louella Troutwine
Fieldon |

Louella Marie “Lou” Troutwine, 71, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Fieldon on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
Born in Moundsville, West Virginia, on September 16, 1953, Lou was the daughter of the late Daniel and Cleo Marie (Colvin) Coffield.
A loving mother, Lou was blessed with four children – Ronald James, Constance, Eric and Robert. On June 12, 999, she married Donald Troutwine. Their recent celebration of 25 years of marriage was just a milestone in a beautiful journey of 35 years together. Through their union, Lou also gained three stepsons – Steven, Donald Wayne and James.
Family was the heart of Lou’s world. She adored her 20 grandchildren, two of which Don and Lou raised in their home – Daniel Lemasters and Tapanga Troutwine. She also treasured her 12 great-grandchildren, finding immense joy in their laughter and energy.
Lou loved the simple pleasures in life – fishing, being outdoors, and spending time with her loved ones. She found peace on her porch or in the garage, enjoying a cold beer while watching the hummingbirds she took such pride in attracting. She cherished the moments spent with her family, especially watching her kids and grandkids play in the creek at fish fry’s and BBQ’s. Her warmth, kindness and no-nonsense spirit made her beloved by all who knew her.
Surviving are her husband, Donald Troutwine of Fieldon; three children, Ronald James Lemasters of West Virginia, Constance Lemasters of Tennessee and Robert Lemasters (Angie Murray) of Jerseyville; three step-sons, Steven Troutwine and his significant other, Lisa, of Kansas, Donald Troutwine of Chicago and James (April) Troutwine of Tennessee; 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; as well as a sister, Cathy S. (Colvin) Greathouse.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Allen Coffield and a son, Eric Lemasters and a grandson, Logan.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Crosspoint Church, 104 Public Road, Fieldon, IL 62031, on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 2–5 p.m.
