Loretta Mae Buster, 84, of Jacksonville passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Hillsboro Area Hospital in Hillsboro.
She was born May 7, 1937, in Jerseyville the daughter of Herschel and Freda Stevens Dabbs. She married Joseph Paul Buster on July 12, 1959, in Jerseyville and he preceded her in death on May 11, 2001.
She is survived by her children, Dennis Buster (partner, Donna Purchase) of Gerlaw, Pamela Mae (Larry Lee) Teel of St. Peters, MO, Jane Pranger (partner, Bob Corrado) of Litchfield and Joann Hart of Jacksonville; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth Ray (Carolyn) Dabbs of California; one sister, Virginia (Virgil) Collins of Indiana and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Paul Buster, Jr., and one sister, Joyce Ebert.
Mrs. Buster retired after 25 years from the Jacksonville Developmental Center as a clothing buyer. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed shopping and cooking.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Williamson Funeral Home with burial at Murrayville Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Dementia Society of America. Condolences may be left online at www.airsman-hires.com.
