Lorena May (Holt) Hall, 87, passed from this life to eternity to be with the Lord on Friday, June 6, 2025.
Lorena was born on Nov. 6, 1937, in Alton. She was the daughter of Raymond and Alta (Caincross) Holt. Her parents and her brother, Raymond C. Holt, preceded her in death.
Lorena married Charles Ezra Hall on July 4, 1958, they were married for 60 years. Charles preceded her in death in 2018. She is survived by her children Theresa (Steve) Outten of Gulf Shores, AL, Brenda (Bob) Skelton of Godfrey, Gloria Springman, Kay Redman-Brown, Linda Hall and Eric (Nikki) Hall who all reside in Cottage Hills. She has 18 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
Lorena loved and was very proud of her children, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of St. Kevin’s Catholic Church for many years and later attended Holy Angels Parish in Wood River. Lorena was employed at the Wood River Wal-mart for several years.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 11, at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights from 10:00 until the time of the service at noon. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
