Lorane Light

Lorane Trevor Light, 90, of New Athens, IL, born Monday, November 19, 1934, in Munger, MO, passed away Friday, June 20, 2025, at Coulterville Rehab Health Center in Coulterville, IL.

Lorane worked as a logger for timber companies. He liked to work on cars, truck motors or tinker with lawnmowers and loved to spend time with family and especially his great nieces and nephews. He was a United States Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his:

• Parents: Cecil and Myrtle, nee Benton, Light
• Brother: Loranzo Light
• Sister: Velma Berthold

Surviving are his:

• Brother: Norman (Virginia) Light and family
• Great nieces and nephews

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors.

Services: Private Interment will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
