Lola Mae Dunham, 93, died at 10:48 p.m. Sunday, May 8, 2011 at the home of her daughter in Jerseyville, after a long period of declining health.She was born in Spanky on Feb. 1, 1918, the daughter of the late George L. & Gertrude E. (Parker) Talley.Lola was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who considered her family the center of her life, and spent each day counting her blessings that they provided her.She married Otis Dunham on Sept. 30, 1935 in Carrollton, and their marriage spanned nearly 71 years before his death on May 10, 2006.Surviving are four sons & daughters in law, Kenneth & Mary Lee Dunham of Fieldon, Richard & Ruth Ann Dunham of Kane, Melvin & Joanne Dunham and Carl & Dorothy Dunham all of Jerseyville; a daughter & son in law, Anna & Glenn Cain of Jerseyville; 21 Grandchildren; 41 Great Grandchildren; 15 Great Great Grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Crumley of Alton, and Beatrice Ebker of Jerseyville.She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Dunham on June 7, 2005; a granddaughter, Kathy Dunham in 1991; a grandson, Bradley Dunham in 1994; an infant granddaughter, Brenda Jo Dunham; two brothers, George Talley and Charles Talley; and six sisters, Ilean Moore, Delores Stone, Marvell Brooks, Armeda Dunham, Vivian Akers and Wilma Griffin.Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Wedneday until time of funeral services at 1 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, with Rev. Wilbur Cain officiating.Burial will be in the Fieldon Cemetery.Memorials may be given to the Charity Christian Center in Jerseyville.
