Lois D. Lambert, 88, went to be with the Lord at 9:15 p.m. Sunday, September 19, 2010 at St. Anthony’s Hospital.
She was born July 6, 1922 in Pearl, Ill. to Frank and Laura May (Johnson) Miller. After 25 years as the cafeteria manager, she retired from the Roxana School District. She married Joe W. Lambert Oct. 16, 1941 . He passed away Aug. 26, 1992. For over 60 years she was a member of the First Christian Church in Wood River. She loved to quilt and spend time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Garth Dunlap of Bethalto; her son and daughter-in-law Ron J. and Debbie Lambert of North, Va.; 5 grandchildren and their spouses, Kyle and Traci Dunlap, Kevin and Beth Dunlap, Chris and Becky Lambert, Neil and Nichole Lambert, and Aaron and Brooke Schepker; 9 great grandchildren; and a brother-in-law and his wife, Ron J. and Debbie Lambert of North, Virginia.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Sept. 22 at the First Christian Church in Wood River from 9 a.m. until Pastor Bob Tracey officiates funeral services at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
Memorials may be given to the church.
