Lloyd E. Stone, 49, died at 9:41 p.m. Saturday, October 30, 2010 at St. Anthony’s Hospital.
Born January 2, 1961 in Alton, he was the son of LaVerne and Betty (Buck) Stone. He worked as a security officer. He was a member of the Donnellson Seventh Day Adventist Church where he was a Bibleworker.
He married Mary Denise Crose on October 31, 1992 in Alton. She survives. Also surviving are two brothers, Richard Stone and his friend Judy Hudson of Granite City and Leo Stone and his friend Cheri Ventiniglia of Roxanna and one sister, Melody McClellan and her friend Gary Foutch of Roxanna, and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, William Buck, a sister, Bertha Ontis, two sisters-in-law, Luven Stone and LuAnn Stone.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the Greater Alton Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Pastor Florin Liga and Pastor Dale Barnhurst will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the Donnellson Church in Donnellson, IL, or the American Diabetes Association.
