Lizabeth A. Fryman-Chapman
Jerseyville |

Lizabeth A. Fryman-Chapman, 59, of Jerseyville IL, born Thursday, December 3, 1964 in Alton IL, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 in Jerseyville IL.
As a teenager, Liz helped her mother in her family-owned catering business in the early 1980s. She enjoyed it so much she decided to follow in her mother’s footsteps opening her own catering business in the early 2000s with great success. Liz showed her unique creativity in everything she did be it her artwork, love of guitar and music, cooking skills in her catering business, or helping her granddaughter, Ava, who she loved dearly, win first prize in Ava’s school science project. Together they created a club called Forget-Me-Nots encouraging people to visit family and friends living in nursing homes. Liz was a strong, single mother who worked hard and always made time for others. She will always be remembered for her great laugh, telling corny jokes, loving hugs, and her kind sweet nature.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Joan (nee Moyer) Fryman.
Surviving is her daughter, Morgan (Rocky) Bantz of Alton IL; a granddaughter Ava walker of Alton IL; grandson Rocky Bantz Jr. of Alton IL; brother Michael (Sandy) Fryman of Ballwin, MO; sister Laura (Charlie) Rogers of Jerseyville, IL; brother Mitchell (Susan) Fryman of Troy, IL; and brother Murray (Jeanne) Fryman of Scottsdale, AZ.
A special thanks to Troy Dugger for being such a beloved friend and caregiver.
Visitation for Liz will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Gent Funeral Home, Alton, IL. Pastor Dave Anderson will officiate.
