Lisa Pistorius

Jerseyville | Wednesday, December 21 2022 |

JERSEYVILLE – Lisa Marie Pistorius, 65, passed away at 8:06 a.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at her residence.

She was born in Alton, Illinois on July 21, 1957, and was the daughter of Harold and Marcella (Cope) Mozier.

Lisa graduated with the Class of 1975 from Jersey Community High School and was employed for many years as a Secretary at Amoco in Clayton, Missouri. She attended Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey, where she graduated in 1998 with a degree in Nursing. She worked as a Nursing Consultant in Edwardsville and then explored a career as a Flight Attendant with Jet Blue Airlines. Ultimately, she returned to the healthcare field, accepting a position with Jersey Community Hospital, where she has remained for the past 12 years and was currently serving as Risk Manager.

Whether it be in her professional life or her personal life, Lisa truly enjoyed surrounding herself with the company of others and always possessed a desire to lift up those around her.

Lisa had a special place in her heart for her dogs and also enjoyed watching movies and spending time vacationing at the beach. She enjoyed watching cooking shows and was a tremendous cook who enjoyed hosting her family and friends throughout the years. Lisa had a knack for decorating and creating floral arrangements. Her home always exuded her impeccable design, and the Holiday season in particular, was among her favorite times to showcase her talents. She also enjoyed singing and had an infectious laugh that could be heard a mile away!

Her proudest title, however, was that of a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved her children beyond measure and when she became a grandmother, she made sure to spoil Mila and Colin as often as she could.

She is survived by three children, Jessica Hansen and her longtime companion, Ryan Mocaby, of St. Louis, Missouri, Heather (Gary) Pinter of Godfrey and Tyler Pistorius of Chicago; two grandchildren, Mila Williams and Colin Pinter; a brother, Alan Mozier and his longtime companion, Jan Nelson, of Carrollton; a sister, Judy Mozier of Jerseyville along with her son, David; as well as her step-mother, Roberta Mozier of Godfrey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Marcella Mozier.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.

For those desiring, memorials may be given to Riverbend Humane Society in Jerseyville.
