Linda R. Scoggins, 63, died at 9:40 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at St. Anthony’s Hospital. Born January 27, 1948 in Alton, she was the daughter of Warren and Edith (Dunse) Scoggins. Linda loved to play bingo and watch wrestling on T.V. Surviving is her lifetime partner, Joseph Glover of Wood River, a daughter, Shelly R. Barrett of East Alton, three sons, Scott Scoggins and his wife Rebecca of Carlinville, Gregg Scoggins and his wife Sharon of Bunker Hill, and Erik Scoggins of Meadowbrook, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and two brothers, Frank Scoggins of Fulton, MO, Jerry W. Scoggins of Maryville, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Jerry Scoggins and a sister, Joyce Greeling. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2011 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Memorials may be made to the family for burial expenses.
