Linda Hostetler

Linda L. Hostetler, 80, died at 6:12 p.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Alton Memorial Hospital.  Born April 14, 1941 in Massillon, OH, she was the daughter of James N. and Mary C. (Robertson) Hazel.  She was member of the Godfrey First United Methodist Church and retired as business manager for the Massillon City Hospital in Massillon, OH.  On June 9, 1978 she married Larry Hostetler in Navarre, OH.  He preceded her in death on April 6, 2019.  Surviving is a son, James Sprague (Michele Emmons) of Godfrey, a daughter, Teresa Perry of Godfrey, one grandchild, Megan Perry of Godfrey and a great grandchild, Carter Flannigan. 

Also surviving are four brothers, Ronny Hazel of Massillon, OH, Robert Hazel of Canton, OH, James Hazel of Canal Fulton, OH, and Fred Hazel of Massillon, OH, and a sister, Mary Schrimpf (Steve) of Alton.  Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, December 6, 2021 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.  A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the Godfrey First United Methodist Church.  Reverend Jay Hanscom will officiate.  Memorials may be made to the Godfrey First United Methodist Church.  Online guestbook and information may be found at www.gentfuneralhome.com
