Linda L Cerutti, 71, passed away at 10:07 am Friday, December 7, 2018 at Christian Northeast Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
She was born on August 22, 1947 in Alton, Illinois, the daughter of Harold C. Hampton and Clara L. Wethington. She also had a step father, Robert Hinthorne. On December 29, 1964 she married Frank Cerutti at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Alton, Illinois. They were happily married for 54 years.
She was a loving homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. One of her main passions was to be outdoors in her flower garden. She belonged to the Church of St. Patrick’s in Grafton, Illinois. She absolutely loved babysitting and being around children, grandchildren, great grandchildren as well as her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, children, brothers and sisters, grandchildren and one great grandchild, Kim Meyers (Moe Meyers) Bethalto, Illinois and Lynn Cerutti (Bradley Witten) St. Charles, Missouri. Donny and Ellen Hampton of Godfrey, Illinois, John and Janet Hampton of Chautauqua, Illinois; Joyce and Jay Curry of East Alton, Illinois, Greg and Faith Hampton of Alaska, Bobby and Teresa Hinthorne Bethalto, Illinois, and sister-in-laws Renee Cerutti (Barb) Springfield, Illinois; and Lura Hampton of Dow, Illinois, Grandchilren Tyler and Zach Meyers; Jessica and Kacie Escontrias along with one great grandchild Alice. Along with many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents along with three siblings. Karen Hinthorne, Harold Wayne Hampton, Marilyn Stemm (Ohley).
Visitation will be from 10:30 am until time of mass at 12 noon on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto, Illinois, with Fr. Patrick Gibbons officiating. Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
