Linda K. (Nash) Greear, 60, went to be with the Lord at 11:47 am on Sunday, November 22, 2009 at Alton Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.

She was born on December 11, 1948 in Alton, IL, the daughter of Paul & Jane (Furlow) Nash.

She married Gary D. Greear on January 17, 1966 in Cottage Hills. He survives.

Linda was a member of the Dow 1st Southern Baptist Church. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for 15 years most recently working at Delmar Gardens in Florissant, MO for the past 3 ½ years. She had a gift for nursing and caring for everyone and she enjoyed her career and brought peace and happiness to everyone she took care of. She was everyone's friend and was full of compassion. She was a Relay for Life participant. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Besides her husband, Gary of Dow and her parents, Paul & Jane Nash of Bethalto, she is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Christina & Nathan Finke of Champaign, IL and Charlotte & David Todd of Waterloo, IL; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael & Lisa Greear of Alton; five grandchildren, Brett Finke, Brandon Finke, Jonathan Collman, Joshua Collman, Kaitlin Greear and expecting her first great grandchild, Trenton Collman; four brothers and their spouses, Jerry & Ann Nash of Fosterburg, Gene & Chris Nash of Treasure Island, FL, Richard & Judy Nash of Louisiana, MO, Jack Nash of Moro; a sister & brother-in-law, Janet & Andy Asbury of Moro, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She will be dearly missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, and everyone she knew.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at the funeral home with Pastor David Brown officiating.

Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
