In Loving Memory of Linda Marie Hartman
1946-2026
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Hartman, a beloved mother, grandmother, friend, and respected real estate professional, who passed away Thursday, June 4, 2026 at the age of 79.
Born August 11, 1946 to the late Henry and Clara (McLean) Breuchaud in Alton, Linda spent her life building meaningful relationships and making a lasting impact on everyone she met. As a real estate agent, she was known not only for her professionalism and dedication but also for her genuine care for her clients. Many who began as clients became lifelong friends, a testament to her warmth, integrity, and commitment to helping others. Linda was deeply admired throughout the community for her generous spirit, friendly smile, and willingness to lend a helping hand. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Alton.
Above all else, Linda treasured her family. She Married Michael Hartman on May 6, 1967, in Alton, he preceded her in death on November 9, 2021. She was a devoted mother to her two sons, Thad (Becky) and Todd (Kim), a proud grandmother to five cherished grandchildren. Sydney Garrett, Macey Hartman, TJ Hartman, Andrea Hartman, Katelyn Hartman and 1 Great grandson Andres. Her family was the center of her world, and she took great joy in celebrating their accomplishments, sharing laughter, and creating lasting memories together. Besides her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Gary Breuchaud.
She also leaves behind many colleagues, and dear friends who will forever remember her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering “A life well lived leaves footprints on the hearts of others.”
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm, Monday, June 8, 2026 at Gent Funeral Home and Cremation Services.in Alton. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at the funeral home, with Rev. Andre' Dobson officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. Memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church, Alton.
