Lillian Novotny, 94, died peacefully at 9:22 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Jerseyville Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born October 14, 1929 in Jerseyville, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Fitzgibbons) Novotny. She was a member of Saint Alphonsus Catholic Church in Brighton. Lillian is survived by one sister, Helen Manns, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, George Novotny and five sisters, Brigid Lowery, Anna Carter, Frances Novotny, Kathryn Weiner and Josephine Roth. A memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Saint Alphonsus Catholic Church in Brighton. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Godfrey.
