Lenora Ketchum

Lenora Ketchum, 88, passed away 5:05 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2014 at VIP Manor in Wood River

Born in Alton, she was the daughter of Vane V. and Blanche May (Everett) Graham.

She had worked as the food service manager for Wood River-Hartford School District 15 for nearly 20 years before she retired in 1988.

On July 8, 1944 in Alton, she married Stanley Ketchum. He survives.

Surviving also are a son, Dr. James W. (Kathy) Ketchum of O'Fallon, MO; a daughter, Janie Lea (Alvin) Lair of Friendswood, TX; four grandchildren, Amy M. (John) Barnerd, Kimberly Williams, Megan Ragen, Jaelyn Kertzman; five great grandcihldren, Juliana Barnerd, Sophia and Ethan Kertzman, Christopher and Brandon Ragen; two sisters, Phullis Chamberlain of Alton, Mary Louise Byrnes of Ballwin, MO; and sister-in-law, Marjorie Hartsook.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Vane and William Graham, a sister, Viola Siglock; and brother-in-law, Edward Everett Ketchum.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the 1st United Methodist Church in Wood River.  Pastor Kimberly Allen and Scott Levan will officiate.

Burial will follow in Upper Alton Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the 1st United Methodist Church, where she had been a long-time, faithful member or the Diabetes Foundation.
