Lenora I. Orescovich, age 82, passed away at 5:10 PM on December 7, 2020 at Robins Manor Nursing Home in Brighton, IL.
Lenora was born June 1, 1938 in Madison, Illinois, the daughter of William Ledbetter and Mary Gum.
Lenora was selfless; everyone’s needs were put above her own. She loved to serve her community and that was very evident when she was crowned Miss Venice in 1956. Lenora was member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton. She took great pride and loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Lenora married Richard Orescovich on January 19, 1957 in Madison, IL. He survives and resides in Godfrey, IL.
In addition to her husband, Lenora is survived by her daughter, Karen Khamee and son-in-law Mo Khamee of Grafton, IL; a son, Robert Orescovich of New Johnsonville, TN; two grandchildren, Emily (Randy) Blow and Cyrus Khamee; three great-grandchildren, Camryn Jean Ann Rosner, Vivian Blow and Benjamin Richard Blow; one brother, George (Judy) Ledbetter; a niece Susan and two nephews, Scott and Jeffrey.
Preceding her in death were her parents, a daughter, Valerie Sheridan and a sister, Helen Biddle.
Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, social distancing, occupancy, and mask wearing guidelines will be followed as mandated by the CDC. The family appreciates your attention to respecting social distancing guidelines and requests masks be worn at all times.
A private visitation will be held Thursday, December 10,2020 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey, IL.
There will be a private Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Friday, December 11, 2020 followed by private burial at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Godfrey.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary‘s Catholic Church in Alton.
