Lenora Florini Haley, age 93, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 11:15 pm at VIP Manor in Wood River.
She was born on December 20, 1919, in Cedar Point, IL, daughter of the late, Ferdinando & Rose (Cabri) Chiarotti.
She married Geno C. Florini on September 1, 1940 in Wilsonville, IL; he passed away on February 3, 1964. She then re-married Max D. Haley on April 25, 1977 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto; he passed away, September 22, 1994.
Lenora was co-owner of Geno’s 140 Club in Bethalto from 1942 to 1985. She continued to work there as an assistant manager until 2005. She was a member of the Tavern Association and Professional Business for Women Association. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Don & Carolyn “Susie” Florini of Edwardsville, Jolene Hunt of Bethalto and Gena & Terry Rather of Shipman; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Scott & Jeanne Florini, Jill & Neal Benson, Jeff & Kathy Hunt, Janell & Derek Kahl, James & Sara Hunt, Jerad & Angelyn Rather and Jamie Hilyard and fourteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands, two infant daughters, Janet Lee and Janice Marie Florini and one grandson-in-law, Josh Hilyard.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Elias Kallal Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto, IL.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Elias Kallal Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto, IL, with Fr. Tom Liebler officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to the OLQP School or Make a Wish or Heartland Hospice.
