Lee “Adrian” Wyatt, age 90, went to be with the Lord at 9:01 pm on July 9, 2010 at his residence.
He was born on December 1, 1919 in Athensville, IL the son of Charles & Oma June (Dyer) Wyatt.
He married Rita C. (Horman) Morris Wyatt on December 22, 1971 in Jacksonville, IL and she survives.
Adrian was employed at the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad as an engineer for 42 retiring in December 30, 1980. He served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Godfrey 1st United Methodist Church, the American Legion Post of Roodhouse, IL, Amvets Post # 100 of Jacksonville, IL and the Alton Moose Lodge # 951. His family was the focus of his life, and he was adored by his grandchildren. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan, he took great pride in his home and yard, his dogs; Pepper, Bandit, and Lady Bug were his constant buddies.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra & Bob Cleveland of Bethalto and Sherri & Fred Whitworth of Godfrey; three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard & Martha Morris of Chapin, IL, Robert Leslie “Les” Morris of Jacksonville and James “Jim” & Sharon Morris of Concord, IL; twelve grandchildren; several great grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry & Linda Wyatt of White Hall, IL, Paul & Sharon Wyatt of Winchester, IL and Dean & Janice Wyatt of Roodhouse, IL; two sisters and brother-in-law, Bernice & Jim Hill of Jacksonville, IL and Ruby Whorten of White Hall, IL; several nephew, nieces, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be from 9:30 am until funeral service at 11 am on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey with Chaplin Bruce Baumberger officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens, in Bethalto, IL. Military honors will be presented by the Alton VFW Post 1308 ritual team.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the 5 A’s animal shelter & BJC Hospice.
